I. Perfume as a corporate gift
A gift with no equivalent in B2B
Compared with traditional corporate gifts — a pen, a leather notebook, a bottle of wine, a cabin bag — perfume is the only one that is at once personal (it is worn on the skin), lasting (a 50 ml bottle is used for several months) and recurring (every application recalls the sender).
Segments of olfactive corporate gifting
- VIP welcome pack — a gift box handed to a client on arrival, during a show-flat visit or at a private event: a 10 to 30 ml bottle of the brand's signature, a personalised card, an openwork box.
- Year-end gift — offered to key clients, in a 50 or 100 ml gift box, sometimes with a handwritten card.
- Events & activations — product launch, leadership conference, brand anniversary: a set of miniatures, a 30 ml spray or a personalised event vial, from 500 units per reference.
- High-end loyalty programmes — a gift unlocked at certain tiers (private banking, airline programme, car club), with replenishment planned over several years.
II. Bespoke gift sets & packaging
Gift set architecture
A successful gift set rests on a controlled architecture: the box itself, the inner fitting (thermoformed foam, flocking, sliding drawer, magnetic cradle), the content (main bottle, miniature, card, vial) and the secondary packaging (sleeve, satin pouch, hand-delivery bag). The best gift sets stay useful after use — jewellery box, decorative case — and keep the brand present day after day.
Materials, finishes and embellishment
The material of the box carries most of the luxury signal:
- rigid board covered with gloss or matt paper, with magnetic closure;
- wood (mahogany, oak, walnut, beech), with or without laser engraving;
- leather and faux leather, for premium "cabinet" or "case" gift sets;
- velvet, satin, silk for the inner lining.
Hot-foil stamping, embossing, spot varnish, screen printing and colour printing complete the finish.
III. Travel formats
- Bottle + miniature set — a 100 ml main bottle paired with a miniature or a pouch.
- Double-bottle sets — 2 × 100 ml or 2 × 50 ml.
- Travel sprays & mini-formats — 10, 15 or 20 ml, ideally in a set of 3 to 5 miniatures.
Cabin liquid rules (100 ml maximum per container) guide the choice of travel formats. Alcohol-based perfumes are also classified as dangerous goods (UN 1266, class 3) for transport — see our certifications page (in French).
IV. Logistics & export compliance
Dangerous goods transport — ADR & IMDG
Every shipment of alcohol-based perfume complies with ADR for road and IMDG for sea (IATA DGR for air). For each shipment, INTERESSENS issues the Multimodal Dangerous Goods Form, the ADR declaration and multilingual safety data sheets.
Key export markets
- GCC — GSO 1943 and GSO 2055 compliance, SFDA registration for Saudi Arabia; we prepare the technical documentation in Montauroux (see GCC & Middle East export).
- United Kingdom — UK Cosmetic Product Regulation, SCPN notification.
- Asia — NMPA (China), MHLW and prefectural notification (Japan), MFDS (South Korea).
- United States — FDA / MoCRA, English labelling.
V. Lead times & quantities
From 500 units per reference, whatever the format (bottles, gift sets, miniatures). Allow 12 to 16 weeks from signature to finished product for a bespoke gift set, and 4 to 6 weeks of filling and packing if the fragrance and components are already chosen. Replenishment is planned with you, which is essential for loyalty programmes committed over several years.
VI. Use cases
Private banking, family offices & wealth management
A gift set bearing the institution's signature, offered to wealth-management clients for year-end greetings or at a key moment, is a rare and lasting mark of attention.
Luxury real estate, yachting & private aviation
An olfactive welcome pack handed over at a property visit, a boarding or a private flight extends the emotion of the moment in the client's memory.
Premium retail & events
Premium retailers and event agencies use the olfactive gift to mark their key moments: collection launch, brand anniversary, store reopening.
